neW SAFETY SYSTEM FOR CRANES (ANTI-COLLISION, ZONING AND INDICATORS).

The system can be fitted or retrofitted with all makes and types of cranes (in case of doubt do not hesitate to contact us)

The system it prevents cranes from passing over prohibited zones and stops them from colliding with each other when several cranes are used on the same site.

The crane operator can view his crane and its environment, prohibited zones and other crane, in real-time on the GRAPHIC DISPLAY installed in the cabin.

Whilst warning the operator in case of danger, the MC 603 slows down movement progressively (if the crane’s mechanism allows for this) until the crane reaches a complete stop to prevent collisions with other cranes or passing over a prohibited zone.

The MC 603 complies with European standard EN 14439 and EN17076 – The safety PLC complies with ISO 13849-1.13849-1.

  • COMPATIBILITY WITH ALL CRANES: The MC603 can be fitted or retrofitted to new or existing cranes of all makes (Tower, self-erecting, luffing jib, lattice boom, mobile, port and other cranes). It is compatible with other models of anti-collision system manufactured by ASCOREL
  • EUROPEAN CONFORMITY: The MC 603 complies with European standard EN 14439 (safety for tower cranes) and EN 17076 (anti-collision). The safety PLC complies with ISO 13849-1 (machines safety). Any anti-collision systems for cranes have to comply with these standards to be sold in Europe.
  • ASCOREL ROBUSTNESSASCOREL has been manufacturing anti-collision systems for cranes for 30 years. The MC 603 system is tested in independent laboratories and checked by recognized institutions. The MC 603 has beeen tested on sites for several month before its commercialization.
  • EASY INSTALLATION: The compact, modular design ensures installation is easy. The central unit, heart of the system, has been reduced by more than 50% compared to the previous model. It can be installed in the main cabinet thanks to a magnet fixing. All other components are connected by a CAN bus (a single cable to connect and power them) 
  • USER-FRIENDLY OPERATION: Crane operator can be quickly trained – whatever language spoken – because the system is easy to use. The display, a large color touch screen, allows intuitive navigation by its icon-driven menus. It has a day / night mode, it indicates the position and condition of the other cranes on the site (zoom mode), the load, the wind speed… (optional). It is also used for calibration and indicates any sensor failure.
  • EASY CALIBRATION: A secondary display is available for controlling  and using the system from the foot of the crane (optional). No need to climb up the crane to make adjustments and very practical for maintenance operations (diagnostic display). The system is calibrated directly on the display box in the crane cab or at the foot of the crane (no extra tooling required). A code is required to access it. Settings are programmed, retrieved and loaded via USB stick. Therefore, It is possible to prepare a calibration in advance or transfer it to another crane.

  • DEVELOPMENTS FACILITIES: The MC 603 Modular Software Architecture, by separating safe and unsafe areas,  makes it easy to add new features . The qualification process of these developments, that takes place via USB, is then simplified. 
  • ENHANCED SECURITY: Defects, access to the calibration menu, shutdown and neutralizations are recorded, time-stamped and password protected. The new FEC mode (Forward Error Correction) maintains crane operation in a disturbed radio environment while improving the safety level of data transmission between cranes.
